We went out to the track the Sunday before Clay Cup and set up the camp with the travel trailer, outdoor carpeting and chairs. We had a great time camping and LOVED having the travel trailer. Grandpa Howard camped with us as well which was really nice.
Casey and I decided instead of going in the pits to sit in the stands with Chance, it was a lot of fun. Several of our friends came out and a good time was had by all. Chance loves being at the track, watching the races and hanging out with all the other little boys who are there, especially our good friends JR and Beth's little boys Tristin and Sean.
Oh, geez forgot to mention that Chance also had his first "job." He volunteered to pick up all the garbage left in the stands after each nights races in exchange for free admission and $20. The first night it was awesome, he got in free, made twent bucks and was a happy camper. The second night he realized that while he was picking up garbage the other kids were running around and playing and he wasn't to keen on that, as a matter of fact he was down right angry. But, Casey and I both told him that he had made a committment and he needed to stick with it. He DID pick up the garbage all three nights and made his twenty bucks with which he purchased a very cute new Deming Speedway hooded sweatshirt to show for his hard work! Way to go Chance! We were really proud of him.
Below are some pics of Tristin and Chance hamming it up for the camera. (Note the matching shorts, they are too funny!)
